Maria brings 20 years of comprehensive legal experience to the firm, including long-term service to the State of Texas and expertise in private practice. Maria's reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and dedication to excellence is widely known among the attorneys and other paraprofessionals with whom she has worked. Proudly rooted in Central Texas, Maria is committed to upholding the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and service for all of Stone Hilton's clients.

## Litigation Support & Professional Case Administration

Maria brings two decades of legal experience shaped by her work in both private practice and public service for the State of Texas. She began her legal career as a paralegal for a personal injury law firm and later contracted with the Texas Department of Public Safety, gaining valuable early exposure to diverse legal processes. Maria went on to join the Office of the Texas Attorney General as a Legal Secretary, where her reliability, attention to detail, and strong work ethic quickly distinguished her. Her demonstrated dedication led her to serve as an assistant to the Solicitor General of Texas for the last ten years of her tenure at the agency.

During her tenure in the Solicitor General’s office, Maria supported attorneys in preparing appellate filings for the United States Supreme Court, the Texas Supreme Court, and federal and state appellate courts. She specialized in tabling briefs, formatting complex documents, and meticulously preparing filings for some of the state’s most significant legal matters. Maria approaches her work with deep pride and professionalism, consistently striving to deliver accuracy, clarity, and excellence. Her commitment to high quality service continues to define her contributions to the legal community.

## Outside the Office

Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, two dogs, and large family, often hosting gatherings and playing backyard volleyball with friends and relatives. She is deeply involved in her parish community, volunteering with the youth group and delivering groceries to homebound senior citizens in Buda, Texas—something she has done every other weekend for the past eight years. Maria’s faith is an important part of her life and guides her commitment to compassion, service, and community.
