# Ryan Fisher

Role: Director of Government Relations

Ryan Fisher is a veteran Texas capitol staffer. Ryan began his capitol tenure in the House of Representatives in 2006. Since then, he has served in increasingly senior positions in the Texas Senate, and most recently in Executive Administration at the Office of the Attorney General as Director of Government Relations.

## Public Policy in Austin and Washington

Ryan’s time in the AG’s office was marked with many successful policy initiatives, including the creation of the 15th Court of Appeals, the expansion of the Texas Medicaid Fraud Prevention Act, the passage of the Voter ID Fix, multiple redistricting cycles, and too many other achievements to count. Ryan has played a crucial role in communicating with policymakers and moving legislation for years.

In addition to legislative positions, Ryan has been called upon to step into many niche roles. From providing state representation in federal agency rulemakings, to his instrumental role bringing the Global Opioid Settlement to a successful resolution, to repairing an agency program in distress, Mr. Fisher has repeatedly proven his worth in strategy and implementation.

With close to 20 years in and around the capitol in a variety of senior-level staff positions, Ryan has the knowledge, expertise, and relationships to meet any policy need.

## Outside the Office

Ryan is a native Austinite, as are his parents. He has been married to his wife Cassie for 18 years, and they share three beautiful, headstrong, precocious children. A former NCAA Division I golfer, Ryan can still play a little, but now spends most of his free time transporting his children to their various extracurricular activities. He wouldn’t have it any other way.
