Noah is a former Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice and a former Assistant United States Attorney for the Western District of Texas. He has worked with senior government officials at all stages of enforcement matters, from investigations through trials, appeals, and at the United States Supreme Court. His experience includes numerous matters of national importance, such as the DOJ-led interagency Financial Fraud Enforcement Task Force, the $25 billion National Mortgage Settlement, the National Mortgage Settlement Oversight Committee, SIGTARP oversight, and novel constitutional litigation. Noah has also represented the United States in other investigations and litigation involving investment fraud, public integrity, the Administrative Procedure Act, and bankruptcy matters.
In private practice, Noah enjoys representing clients in a variety of investment fund matters across the globe. He has worked with domestic and international pension funds in fiduciary counseling and implementing investment governance policies and procedures. He has assisted private asset managers in cross-border matters concerning portfolio companies and other assets in markets such as Latin America, Eastern Europe, West Africa, the Middle East, India, and East Asia. He has litigated partnership disputes between LP investors and fund sponsors. And he has advised clients on a variety of fund-related transactions, with an emphasis on risk counseling for fund formation, GP and LP-led secondaries and restructurings, co-investments, joint ventures, and other bespoke legal structures.
Prior to joining Stone Hilton, Noah was the co-lead of the investment funds disputes practice for an international law firm.
