Raised in Houston, Bonnie is a fifth-generation Texan who has a deep appreciation for community and a strong sense of Texan identity. organized – competent – leader

Bonnie started her legal career working part-time at the Texas Attorney General’s Office during college. Bonnie immediately took a strong interest in civil litigation, which led her to join the Office of the Attorney General full time. Before joining Stone Hilton, Bonnie spent three decades working on the Attorney General's administrative team as a case manager and as Legal Assistant to the Deputy Chief and Chief of the General Litigation Division.

Focusing primarily on employment and civil rights cases, including complex litigation, all while managing big personalities in a state-agency office, Bonnie has achieved tremendous competence as a legal assistant, paralegal, and operations manager. Whether it's drafting court documents, assisting our attorneys in the preparation of meetings, hearings, and trials, or supporting day-to-day operations of the firm, Bonnie approaches each task with a commitment to excellence and a passion for client success.

During her time on the administrative team for the General Litigation Division, Bonnie provided paralegal and executive support to the Division Chief and Deputy Chiefs. As the Division's case manager, she reviewed all incoming cases, managed the Division's conflict checks, and prepared reports for the Attorney General's executive staff, as well as for the State Auditor’s Office and other state agencies. As the division's public information liaison, Bonnie coordinated all responses to public information requests from the public and formal requests from the Texas Legislature and its members.
